CU HOLDS 26th PUBLIC LECTURE
The subject of resource creation and resistance to economic
development in an emerging industrial state like Nigeria
will be the focus of Covenant University’s 26th Public
Lecture on Friday, February 27, 2009.
The lecture titled, “Resource Creation and Resistances: A
Continuing Process for National Development” will be
delivered by a renown International Business scholar,
Professor Sunday Oyewole Otokiti.
Professor Otokiti is currently the Head of Department of
Business Studies, Covenant University. He also serves on the
Management Committee of the University’s Centre for
Entrepreneurial Development Studies (CEDS).
Before joining the University, Professor Otokiti was the
foundation Acting Head of Department of Economics, Lagos
State University. He was also the foundation Coordinator of
the Lagos State University Master of Business Administration
(LASU-MBA), foundation Acting Head of Department of Business
Administration, and foundation Deputy Director of the Lagos
State University School of Part-Time Studies now (External
System).
An astute researcher, Professor Otokiti became an Associate
Professor of International Business in 2003 and was offered
a chair at Covenant University in 2008 to become the first
Professor of International Business in Nigeria.
He sits on the Editorial Board of many publications
including, Financial Standard, a daily business and
financial newspaper; Lagos Organization Review; Lagos
Journal of Business; Lagos Business Review; Management
Discoveries and Covenant University Journal of Business and
Social Sciences.
Professor Otokiti has published widely in reputable outlets
and has over 50 publications to his credit. |
