CU Holds Public Lecture on Chemistry: Between Theory and Application

The 23rd Covenant University public lecture will x-ray the relationship between theory and its application in basic chemical research.

The lecture, titled, “Chemistry: Between Theory and Application,” will be delivered by a renowned scholar and expert in Biophysical Chemistry, Professor Kehinde Onwochei Okonjo on Friday, September 19, 2008 at the University Chapel.

Professor Okonjo is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Covenant University. Before joining the University faculty, he had over 30 years lecturing experience at the University of Ibadan.

Professor Okonjo, who has won numerous international grants for his publication in reputable journals in his field, is a member of many learned societies, including, the American Chemical Society, the New York Academy of Sciences, the Chemical Society of Nigeria and Sciences Association of Nigeria, among others.
