On the 26/2/08 the Vice Chancellor re-inaugurated the Entrepreneurial Development Studies Committee. The Entrepreneurial Development Studies has been a Custom built programme of Covenant University which cuts across all levels. It is a Centre for entrepreneurial development which has been addressing practical base issues for the programme. It was set up to ensure that the university's academic practitioner goals in respect of wealth creation are realized. The Committee which is chaired by Professor J. A. T. Ojo is expected to drive a curriculum that will tie taught courses to the practical content of EDS so that a vocationally driven entrepreneurial programme is evolved.

The Vice Chancellor: Professor Aize Obayan also inaugurated a Committee of Resource Persons for the taught courses in EDS programme. The team is to take up the responsibility of packaging the curriculum for publication aligning it with the practical aspect of EDS as envisioned by the university. The Committee is headed by Professor L. Osuagwu.
