Covenant University celebrates Founder’s Day Covenant University will be
celebrating its 7th Founder’s Day Ceremony on Wednesday,
October 21, 2009. Programmes of activities commemorating
this year’s event kicks off on Tuesday, October 20 with a
Roundtable on Facilitating Development through
Entrepreneurship: New Directions from the Higher Education
Context in Africa. The discussants include Professor Jan
Grundling from South Africa, Mr. Alfred Braimoh, Director of
Private Sector, ECOWAS Commission; Distinguished Professor
J. A. T. Ojo, Head, Department Banking and Finance, Covenant
University; Dr J. A. Aremu, Consultant, ECOWAS Common
Investment market Initiative; Dr Adebola Olubanjo,
International Coordiantor, Entrepreneurship Promotion
Academy; Dr Sola Aliu, Principal Consultant, Hamitle Consult
and Rosaline Obeng-Ofori of the ECOWAS Commission who will
serve as the facilitator. Venue is Covenant University
Chapel. Time: 1.00pm.
Other activities lined up for
the occasion include Special Founder’s Day Assembly on
Wednesday, October, 21, launching of a Pilot Computer
Empowerment Training/Donation of Computer Systems to two
Schools in Ota on Thursday, October 22 and thanksgiving
Service at Faith Tabernacle on Sunday, October 25, 2009.
