CU Hosts Kenneth
Copeland, Creflo Dollar
Between May 16 and 18, 2007, Covenant
University had the privilege of playing host to some of the
greatest Christian leaders of our time, including of
the Charismatic Worldwide Movement and Dr Creflo Dollar of
the World Changers Church International, USA.
They were in the University for the just
concluded ‘Open Heaven Conference’ hosted by the Chancellor
of Covenant University and President of Living Faith Church,
Dr David Oyedepo, held at Faith Tabernacle, Canaan Land,
Ota.
During the visit, Covenant University
community had an awesome experience, especially on the first
day, when Dr Dollar addressed the University faculty, staff
and students at the Chapel. In his teaching, titled, ‘How
to Manage Life on Everyday Basis’, Dr Dollar who holds a
PhD in Counseling, explained how one could achieve
successful living by understanding life according to the
word of God. He said one however need to balance his or her
physical and intellectual development with the development
of his or her spirit man in order to make impact. He urged
the people to crave for power, which he gave its acronym P
to stands for planning, O for organization, W for work, E
for enthusiasm and R for reward.
Also at a farewell dinner organized for
the guests, Kenneth Copeland, who is also a member of the
Board of Regents of Oral Robert University, praised Covenant
University for its achievements within the short period of
its existence and commended the University for its corporate
packaging, which he promised to market to his fellow Regents
at ORU.
Their visit was very symbolic to the
University’s vision of raising a new generation of leaders,
especially considering the global impacts of these anointed
men of God, who through their ministries have been mightily
used by God to raise army of leaders across the continent of
the world.
