Covenant University holds
6th matriculation ceremony
The
matriculation ceremony for 2007/2008 academic session for
the newly-admitted undergraduate students of Covenant
University, takes place on Friday, November 09, 2007.
This year’s matriculation is the sixth in
the series and 1,716 students will be admitted into various
degree programmes in the University’s three Colleges of
Business & Social Sciences, Human Development and Science &
Technology.
According to information released by the
University authorities, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Aize
Obayan and other principal officers, will officiate at the
ceremony while dignitaries from government, public and
private sectors, academia, churches and particularly parents
and guardians of the matriculant are expected to grace the
occasion.
The event will take place at the
University Chapel by 9.30am.
Covenant University, also known as Hebron
–the birthplace of kings and queen, is one of the leading
private universities in Nigeria and it is committed to
raising a new generation of leaders for the continent of
Africa. The University, which clocked 5 years on October 21,
2007, recently graduated its second set of students in a
well-attended ceremony dubbed, ‘The Released of Eagles
2007."
