Introduction

The School of Postgraduate Studies was established to meet an important manpower need of the University. It admitted its first set of students in December 2003. This ushered in the first phase of the School. During this phase, the School’s facilities are devoted exclusively to training the University’s staff and building a solid research base.

All the 152 current students of the School are junior academic staff of the University. The School runs MSc, MPhil and PhD programmes in various disciplines. During the second phase, the School will make its facilities available to the general public.
