RESEARCH: Research Interest:
Bacterial Pathogenesis, Genetic Basis of antibiotic
resistance, Nanotechnology, Molecular Biology and
bioinformatics.
On-Going Research Projects:
Determination of Antimicrobial resistance genes from
clinical samples from Health Care Institutions at
Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.
To determine the most prevalent clinical bacterial
isolates in health care
Institutions.
To determine antibiotic resistance patterns of
Salmonella isolates and the genetic basis of their
resistance.
To determine multiple antimicrobial resistant
strains of Salmonella using plasmid profiles and
restriction fragment analysis and as such determine
whether there are clonal relationships by
sequencing.
To document factors that contributes to
development of antibiotic resistance at Ota, western
Nigeria.
