PHILOSOPHY The philosophy of
the Department of Electrical and Information
Engineering is drawn from the Covenant University’s
philosophy which is succinctly captioned as
“Promoting Mental Productivity” with the objective
of turning out graduates
as expert thinkers and prudent managers in their
respective fields.
Electrical and information
engineering as the backbone of a knowledge economy
has ever evolving dynamics with high versatility.
Therefore, the Department’s programmes are such as
to contribute effectively and sufficiently to the
knowledge economy by putting in place curricula that
meet these challenges in computer engineering;
electrical and electronic
engineering; and information and communication
technology.
The training is to produce
graduates who are producers, rather than mere
consumers, of knowledge economy by being upon
graduation a ready-made functional engineers in
industries, research assistant scholars in academia,
or successful entrepreneurs in electrical and
information engineering. |
