RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Development Planning, Environmental and Local/Community Development, and Poverty Reduction in Africa:-
My research interest focuses on how to initiate and implement comprehensive development planning that cuts across various sectors of African economy and to conserve environmental resources. This can be achieved by drawing pragmatic lessons from local/community institutions to reconstitute order from the bottom up and thereby lay foundations for the emergence of adaptive self-reliant arrangements in Nigeria and Africa. This, I believe, is the only way to achieve greater self- reliant capabilities in confronting problems and realizing opportunities in the light of diverse contexts in which African people live.

SUMMARY OF PROFILE
As a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria, my research incentives are directed towards Development Planning, Environmental and Local/Community Development, and Poverty Reduction in Africa. Using Institutional Analysis and Development (IAD) framework, my work is concerned with community institutions as the platform and basal point of decision making on the rational utilization and sustainability of environmental resources in meeting the yearning and aspirations of Nigerian and African citizens. The question of how policies on rural and urban development can reduce poverty and enhance citizens’ welfare becomes a central focus. My contributions to the study of Development Planning in Nigeria and Africa as shown in my thirty one (31) publications (in books, journals and published conference proceedings) of which thirteen (13) are foreign and forty six (46) conference papers have been directed towards these research incentives.
