Overview
The College of Human Development is guided by similar
virtues as those of the CBS. However, its core purpose as a College
is the development of programmes, founded on high
intellectual standards. The centrality of a Human
Development niche is pivotal to this focus alongside
the promotion and development of the total man the college also
emphasised life-long
learning with a deep passion and hunger for intellectual
development as well as personal growth.
The college has four departments.
They are Mass Communication, English & Literary
Studies, Sociology and Human Resources Development.
It also has nine degree programmes
namely Mass Communication,
Public Relations and Advertising,
English Language and
Literature in English,
French,
Philosophy, Counseling,
Psychology and Sociology.
On-going research
Assessment of the Effectiveness
of Total Man Concept programme on life skills development
of CU students. This research is supported by a
grant from CU.
