Dr.
John. A. Ayam (Ph.D)
concluded his doctoral
studies at Ahmadu Bello
University in 1990. He
is a lecturer in
International Relations
and is a member of the
Nigerian Political
Science Association (NPSA)
and the Nigerian Society
of International
Affairs.
Formerly a lecturer in
the Department of
Political Science at
Ahmadu Bello University.
He is currently in the
Department of Policy and
Strategic Studies;
Covenant University,
Ota, Ogun State.
He was a MacArthur
Foundation Fellow at the
School of Advanced
International Studies (SAIS)
the Johns Hopkins
University (1992) and
also a Fulbright Fellow
at Howard University,
Washington D.C
(1997-98).
In January 2006 he was
back in the U.S for a
scholar – in – Residence
Fulbright Fellowship.
His main areas of
research include foreign
policy analysis,
international dynamics
of Nigeria – U.S.
relations in the post
cold war era.
