Policy and Strategic Studies
Objectives
-
To
provide a sound knowledge of concepts, theories and
issues in policy and strategic studies;
-
To train
manpower who are experts in policy matters, defence
and security and who are capable of manning relevant
agencies at both national and international levels.
-
To
produce experts who are capable of conducting
research in policy, defence and security related
issues; and
-
To
produce trained manpower who can contribute to
finding solution to the myriad of policy and
security problems confronting states and other
agencies at the domestic and international levels.
Requirement for the Award of Degree-
To be
eligible for the degree B.Sc. in Policy and Strategic
Studies, candidate must satisfy the general regulations
of the University and must have taken and passed
approved compulsory and elective courses. It is possible
for a candidate to exceed the stated minimum number of
units by selecting course of his choice, provided that
prior approval of the Head of Department is obtained.
The Minimum
requirement is 162 Units
