College of Business and Social Sciences
The
College of Business and Social
Sciences (CBS) is the largest of the three
colleges in the University. As at the 2004/2005
session, the students' population was put at 2000.
The College is guided by a very clear and compelling
vision of sound scholarship, academic excellence,
truth and respect for the worth and dignity of
individuals of all levels. The core purpose is to
train students who will graduate to expand the
frontiers of entrepreneurship as job creators rather
than roam the streets as job seekers. As part of
this equipping process, the students are encouraged
to belong to professional and academic clubs and
societies to help them exhibit their leadership
potential while in school. Some of the students in
the college have won national prizes and awards such
as the Stock Exchange Essay Competition and the
Accounting Professional Examinations prizes in
Nigeria in 2002/2003 and 2003/2004 academic
