The department of Business Studies enjoys the grace of
God in dimensions that keeps members of staff
perpetually praising God for the favours bestowed so
lavishly upon our activities.
The glory of God manifested wonderfully in February 2005
in the full accreditation by NUC of our three programmes
in:
(a). B.Sc. (Hons) – Business Administration
(b). B.Sc. (Hons) – Marketing
(c). B.Sc. (Hons) – Industrial Relations and HRM.
Our pioneer 400 levels students just completed their
omega semester degree examinations. We are trusting God
to be able to release about over a hundred Kings and
Queens of Covenant University vintage into the world as
dedicated world changers in their various areas of
endeavour.
The philosophy of the department is to produce agents of
change versed in the core values of Covenant University.
The department is striving to provide dynamic learning
environment, both internal and external, for imparting
holistic education that inculcates professionalism,
excellence, competitive business spirit, pro-active
qualitative leadership in our Kings and Queens.
The department is receiving every encouragement from the
College of Business and Social Sciences as well as the
management of this university in our determined effort
to focus on cutting edge business technology. In this
regard, the department is appraising various options
available locally and internationally for:
a. Variety of new programmes.
b. Update of instructional technology.
c. Market/Labour driven programmes.
d. Introducing business game into our curriculum.
e. Using dynamic experiential and experimental studies
to foster our students and staff research interests.
f. Promotion of a business laboratory for interactive
computer-aided learning by our students.
As a department we welcome ideas and suggestions from
interested parties and institutions sharing our type of
vision and commitment to creative business education.
