Undertaking the two phase screening exercise of the University is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission into the University. The first phase of the screening is an academic/aptitude evaluation of prospective students. It consists of three papers: English/Verbal Aptitude, Mathematics/Quantitative Aptitude and a General Paper, which is specific to an applicants College/Department. The test is conducted in the month of April each year.

The second screening follows after the first. It is an eligibility enquiry designed to ascertain mental, medical and spiritual readiness of applicants for the Covenant University experience.
