Vice Chancellor
Professor Aize Obayan, Vice-Chancellor, Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria was appointed on February 1st 2005. She is responsible for ensuring that the delivery of the academic curriculum is qualitative, value driven, with an overarching emphasis on Human Development from a Total Man Concept and Entrepreneurial Development base. In addition she also ensures that Covenant University is consistently kept in touch with best practice and cutting edge technology, equipment and facilities as evidenced in any World Class University.

Before becoming Vice Chancellor, she had held a number of positions at the University, such as - Chair of Counseling and Pioneer Head of the Department of Human Resource Development, Dean of the College of Human Development, Anchor person, Total Man Concept programme, Chairperson -Faculty Support Programme and Coordinator, School of Postgraduate Studies. From 1996 -1999, she lectured at the University of Surrey, Roehampton, London, United Kingdom as Senior Lecturer in Counseling Psychology. An internationally acclaimed scholar with numerous publications, Professor Obayan serves on the editorial boards of several Journals. She is currently on the Board of the National Universities Commission and is a member of the Quality Assurance and Strategic Development Committees. She seeks to move Covenant University in the direction of taking strides into the league of world-class Universities, her commitment to forging powerful partnerships in the realization of a great and compelling vision of rising a new generation of leaders as together with the Team at Covenant University, drive excellence at the cutting edge of learning. In 2005, Professor Obayan was awarded the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists Shell Award for Mentoring and in January 2005, she was awarded Best Vice Chancellor (Private Universities Category) by the National Universities Commission.
