Yemi Nathaniel graduated from
University of Ife in 1980 with a second class upper
degree in Economics. He later obtained an M.Sc
degree of Economics from the same university in
1988. He joined the University of Sokoto (now Uthman
Dan Fodio University) in 1980 as a Graduate
Assistant in the Department of Economics. He later
joined the Ministry of Finance and Economic
Development in the Kwara State Civil Service where
he rose to Senior Planning Officer (Production and
Consultancy) in 1987. He joined the University of
Ilorin Academic Planning Office after then becoming
a Principal Planning Officer and Secretary of the
World Bank’s Project Implementation Unit for the
University by 1991. His desire for robust exposure
took him to private sector where he was involved in
various capacities. He held a wide range of
management positions including Manager, Project
Finance, Kwara Industrial Trust Fund, Manager,
Operations Financial Opportunity Centre among
others. By December 1995, he joined the David
Oyedepo Ministries International as Admin. Executive
where he later served as Treasurer, Financial
Controller, Special Assistant, Director of
Administration, Director of Personnel to various
arms of the Ministry both in Kaduna and Lagos and
Ota, Canaan Land. He was appointed to the position
of Registrar at Covenant University in April 2002.
As the Registrar, he is the Chief Administrative
Officer who heads the following departments:
Academic Affairs; Admissions; Establishment and
Training; Exams and Records; and Corporate and
Public Affairs. Mr Yemi Nathaniel is a member of
Nigerian Economic Society and a Fellow of the
Institute of Administrative Management of Nigeria. |
