At the head of administration and governance in Covenant University is the Chancellor, Dr David Olaniyi Oyedepo, who is also the Chairman of the University’s Board of Regents, its highest policy-making body.

Dr Oyedepo, though not practically involved in the day-to-day administration of the University, is nevertheless the Executive Chancellor, who is actively guiding University management on policy formulation, direction and implementation. His office, as a matter of fact, symbolizes a statutory and spiritual antenna guiding the University management in charting its pathways of excellence, pursuing same with unrivalled passion to achieve set purposes.

Dr Oyedepo has, during less than four years existence of the University, demonstrated an uncommon wisdom and a relentless mien in ensuring that Covenant University becomes a global centre of excellence and a reference point in teaching, research and community service. The spiritually-holding environment of the sprawling and ever-growing campus draws a lot of inspiration from the Chancellor’s rich spiritual background and visionary leadership.
